Everett YOUTH WRESTLING

Boston Wrestling Legion is excited to offer a youth wrestling program for the young people of Everett. This program will run in collaboration with Everett Youth Development and Enrichment and will take place at the Samuel Gentile Recreation Center.

Our mission for the youth wrestling session is to provide a high quality wrestling program to serve young people in the Greater Boston area, where they can learn the fundamental skills of wrestling in a positive environment. We design our program such that a brand new beginner wrestler can learn the fundamental skills, while also maintaining an appropriate level of challenge for more experienced wrestlers.

Any wrestler who participates in our program can expect the following:

• Learn the basic rules and skills of wrestling

• Improve their strength, endurance, balance, coordination, and flexibility​

• Join an environment that is safe and supportive while also being challenging and competitive

• Participate in a physical full-contact sport that is also safe and well-controlled through clear rules

• Learn from expert coaches with years of experience in wrestling, coaching, and teaching

• Have fun and make new friends

• JOIN THE LEGION and become part of the Boston Wrestling Legion community

 

​The fall Everett Youth Wrestling program begins on Wednesday September 17, and will continue on Wednesdays and Fridays into the first week of November. Practices are from 4-6 pm, and take place at the Samuel Gentile Recreation Center 47 Elm St, Everett, MA. The program is for youth ages 9-14 (grades 4-9).​
